Dearest Family and Friends- through a heartbreaking journey of sadness and loss, we must now share this family news. On Saturday, Oct 20, 2018 at 6:44am, My Father/Poppy- Clifton Darrell McMath passed away in peace and will be forever missed by my Mom/Norma-his wife, grandchildren, family, and I. Even though he received tremendous care from the ICU at the Rideout Hospital in Marysville, he was unable to recover from the terrible stresses and complications from COPD.

There are not any words to express how we feel as our own words are choked with grief and our eyes are clouded with tears. For a brief time we will be grieving between ourselves. My Mom, JP, Mark (Brother/Uncle) and I were with my father through every hopeful improvement and until the very end when he found his peace.

Thank you for the love and support you have shown during this difficult time of grief and change. We appreciate you all, and hope to be able to respond to you in due time. We'd like to be able to express with greater eloquence our gratitude, but our minds are still spinning and our hearts, raw. We are trying to learn and find a new way to breathe and to establish a new "normal." So we might be a little broken for a while.
Thank you for your messages of love and hope, for having us in your thoughts and prayers, and more importantly for sharing beautiful memories and thoughts of Cliff.

The Celebration of Life services for Cliff are currently being planned and will be held within the Bay Area. However, we are taking our time to plan it properly. Details will be provided after all has been arranged. For now we ask all of you to think of Clifton Darrell McMath / Cliff McMath – Husband, Father, Poppy, Father-in-Law, Uncle, Friend, Electrician, and Vietnam Veteran in the Best Way Possible as he will be greatly missed by all of us. – Stacey McMath Kauinana and on behalf of Norma McMath.
